INSTRUCTIONS:
Part 1
1. Wrap the covered copper wire tightly around the nail.
3. NOW connect the ends of the wire to the battery.
4. How many paper clips can each member of your group pick up?
5. Observe, Record and Illustrate your observations in your journal.
6. Explain (in your journal) what caused the nail to react the way it did.
Part 2
7. Change one of the following: Battery, copper wire, or size of nail. (What you change is your Independent Variable.)
8. Repeat the instructions and fill in the data table.
